Fertility acupuncturist Andrea Schmutz, AP, DOM graduated from ATOM ( Atlantic Institute of Oriental Medicine ) with a degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine after working 10 years as an RN at Joe DiMaggio Memorial Hospital in Hollywood Florida. Andrea was a top student at ATOM earning an "Outstanding Student Award" and other high honors.

As a native of Switzerland, Andrea is fluent in many languages including German, English, Italian, French and Spanish. She is nationally board certified in Acupuncture by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) and is licensed to practice acupuncture in the state of Florida.

With her skill and knowledge as a Registered Nurse, Andrea blends the best of western medicine with eastern medicine, and is an Infertility Specialist at Fertility & Genetics in Plantation Florida. Aside from her work as the staff fertility acupuncturist, she is also the Director of Nursing at Plantation Surgery and Nurse Supervisor at Fertility and Genetics in Plantation Florida, assisting in many ART surgeries including egg retrievals, laparoscopies, and hysteroscopies. This experience gives her an extensive knowledge of reproductive endocrinology that she applies to natural fertility treatment with acupuncture.
